Editorial Standards
The Hotelier Times covers the U.S. hotel industry (transactions, development, financing, operations, labor and policy) for the people who own, run and invest in hotels.
Accuracy and sourcing
We verify facts with primary sources wherever possible, including company filings, public records, official statements and on-the-record interviews, and we link to sources where we can. We identify anonymous sources only by their role, and we use them only when the information is important and cannot be obtained another way.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made by the editor, Nathan Snyder. Advertisers and partners do not review or approve news coverage before publication.
Featured and partner content
Content paid for by a partner is clearly labeled “Featured” or “Partner” at the top of the page and is kept separate from news reporting. Featured partners do not control or approve news articles. They may supply creative for labeled Featured placements only.
Use of AI tools
The Hotelier Times uses AI tools to help with research, data gathering and drafting. Every article is reviewed, fact-checked and approved by our editor before it’s published.
We never invent numbers, quotes or sources.
