Capella Hotel Group on Oct. 29 announced Capella Dubai, a 115-key hotel planned to open in 2030 on Dubai Peninsula — the brand’s United Arab Emirates debut — according to a company press release dated Singapore, Oct. 29, 2026.

The hotel will be developed by Dubai-based H&H and designed by Denniston, Capella said. Dubai Peninsula is described in the release as a 210-acre waterfront project on the Jumeirah shoreline where the Dubai Water Canal meets the Arabian Sea, with a kilometre of private beach and more than two million square feet of botanical gardens. Capella’s note on the destination states it is owned by Bright Start and developed by H&H, and that hospitality brands planned for the site include Aman, Rosewood and Capella.

Capella said the hotel will include suites with private pools and a 600-square-metre Capella Suite (about 6,458 square feet). Planned facilities include five food-and-beverage venues, a rooftop restaurant and bar, a rooftop pool nearly 70 metres long, a beach-level family pool, the Little Stars children’s club, Auriga Spa and related wellness space, plus a ballroom, meeting rooms, a VIP Majlis and an outdoor event lawn. The Living Room will house Capella Culturists, who Capella says will shape guest itineraries and Capella Curates experiences.

Roland Fasel, president of Capella Hotel Group, said in the release that Capella is growing beyond Asia Pacific into the Middle East and Europe and that the partnership with H&H “is the foundation for all that we are building.” Shahab Lutfi, chairman of H&H, said Capella would introduce “a more intimate, service-led hospitality experience to the city’s resort landscape.”

The National reported on Oct. 28 that Capella Dubai will be a nine-floor beachfront property and that Dubai Peninsula will also include debut Dubai hotels from Aman and Rosewood, with Rosewood Dubai also targeted for 2030. The National said Capella Diriyah in Riyadh is slated to open in 2027 and that Capella then had 10 properties across Asia Pacific and Australia.

Deal value, fees and development cost were not disclosed. An exact opening month within 2030 was not given.
