BWH Hotels announced on Oct. 27, 2026 that it is uniting its global portfolio under the WorldHotels masterbrand and a single loyalty program, according to the company’s PR Newswire release and coverage by Hotel Dive. WorldHotels said individual property identities, signage and iconic flags remain unchanged. WorldHotels Rewards launches Jan. 5, 2027, per both the release subhead and Hotel Dive.
What Changed — And What Did Not
The Oct. 27 PR Newswire release said BWH Hotels is bringing more than 4,000 hotels and 18 brands under a single loyalty program and global masterbrand, WorldHotels. Larry Cuculic, President and Chief Executive Officer of WorldHotels, said in that release that WorldHotels gives the company “a clearer way to tell our story” while “preserving the independence and individuality” of its hotels.
WorldHotels said in the same release that while individual property identities, signage and iconic flags will remain unchanged, the WorldHotels platform will expand cross-portfolio discovery and direct guest relationships. Hotel Dive’s Oct. 27 report likewise said branding for individual properties, including identities and signage, will remain unchanged. Best Western–named brands remain listed in the WorldHotels Rewards brand roster in the release (including Best Western®, Best Western Plus®, Best Western Premier® and related collections) — the corporate masterbrand changed; the property flags did not come down.
WorldHotels Rewards: Jan. 5, 2027
The PR Newswire subhead states WorldHotels Rewards launches Jan. 5, 2027. Hotel Dive independently reported the same launch date. WorldHotels said the program consolidates Best Western Rewards® and WorldHotels Rewards with 70 million existing members combined, introduces three membership tiers, and protects current benefits such as status matching, member rates and points that never expire. Joelle Park, Chief Marketing Officer of WorldHotels, said in the release that the unified program is meant to make it easier for guests to discover the full portfolio. Additional loyalty details are scheduled for announcement on Nov. 16, 2026, per the release.
