Fattal Buys Renaissance Paris La Défense From GIC-APG’s Archer

By Nathan Snyder, Editor
Fattal Hotel Group has acquired the Renaissance Paris La Défense, a roughly 330-room four-star conference hotel at 60 cours Valmy in Puteaux, from Archer Hotel Capital — the Amsterdam-based vehicle of Singapore’s GIC and Dutch pension manager APG — according to an Oct. 28 exclusive from Business Immo that La Tribune de l’Hôtellerie said a company cadre confirmed on Oct. 30. The purchase price was not disclosed; a Leonardo Royal rebrand remains unconfirmed.
Deal Status and Attribution
Business Immo (Oct. 28) reported the acquisition as completed. La Tribune de l’Hôtellerie (Oct. 30) said it confirmed the deal with a Fattal cadre. Defense-92.fr (Oct. 30) used conditional wording (“aurait acquis”). Hotelier Times follows Business Immo and La Tribune’s company-confirmed read for the buy, while noting Defense-92’s caution.
Neither Business Immo’s opened coverage nor the Oct. 30 follow-ups from Defense-92 and La Tribune disclosed a purchase price. The Hospitality Tribune’s English write-up likewise states the transaction value was not disclosed.
Asset and Seller
Product specs in the Oct. 30 coverage put the hotel at about 330 keys with roughly 15 meeting rooms and about 1,000 square meters of conference and event space. Archer’s portfolio notes say it bought the asset in 2012 and has operated it through Archer Hotel Management; the page also cites BREEAM In-Use Very Good and Green Key credentials.
The hotel is still marketed as a Marriott Renaissance. Defense-92 and La Tribune both report that a move onto Fattal’s upper-four-star Leonardo Royal label would fit the buyer’s usual repositioning pattern. Both stop short of a confirmed conversion: Defense-92 frames it as what the hotel “should” become; La Tribune says neither Marriott talks nor a brand change have been confirmed. Treat any Leonardo rebrand as unconfirmed.
